About Simon Dodd
I spent 20 years in London working in, and eventually running restaurants in the West End, primarily around Covent Garden.
In 2010, while operating the catering in Regents Park I was lured down to Devon to start the role at RCHQ.
For two years I and the directors of the company worked hard growing the business to a point that RCHQ could stand alone as a business.
Having got to this point in 2012 the building we operated from promptly burnt down. The biggest achievement in my career to date was to lead the response from the team at Park Farm that resulted in re-opening the business three weeks later in a hand built and bespoke designed marquee. This ultimately saved the business and led to the decision to build our state of the art cookery school. This now sits alongside the original barn, also brought back to its former glory, and enables us to teach world class award winning courses.

How we at river cottage have converted 64 acres of land; unfarmed for 20 years, back into productive organic pastureland and allotments/kitchen gardens. Building up the cookery school/event business creates the income to pay for the farm and gardens which is just as important to us as the business side.
My seminar will about the development of the business, farm and gardens from 2010 to the present day and beyond.
